Education Water Safety & Swim Instruction Day in honor of Paige Hardesty Greve
Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 12:00p.m. - 2:00p.m. at the Green River Recreation Center.
Water Safety Today:
Learn about safety around water at home or wherever water activities are enjoyed. The Water Safety Handbook you'll receive during the presentation provides easy-to-remember safety tips for a variety of aquatic environments.
Longfellow's WHALE Tales
These dry land water safety presentations are targeted at children ages 5 to 12. Topics will include experiences elementary school-aged children may encounter related to water safety.
Learn-to-Swim Assessments
Instructors will be on-hand, in the pool, to help assess which level children are swimming at.
We offer the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program to help swimmers of all ages and
abilities develop their skills.
Preschool/Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills
Level 2 - Fundemental Aquatic Skills
Level 3 - Stroke Development
Level 4 - Stroke Improvement
Level 5 - Stroke Refinement
Level 6 - Swimming and Skill Proficiency
