Visiting Writer
Western Wyoming Community College English Department and the Arlene and Louise Wesswick Foundation present visiting writer Maria Melendez on Friday, March 4, 2011. Maria Melendez of Pueblo, Colorado has published two poetry collections: How Long She'll Last in This World (2006) and Flexible Bones (2010), both from the University of Arizona Press. She is a Contributing Editor for Latino Poetry Review, Acquisitions Editor for Momotombo Press (which features work by emerging Latino writers), and editor of Pilgrimage, a journal serving a far-flung community of writers, artists, naturalists, activists, and seekers.
