Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center will host the free event Friday, Oct. 5, at the Broadway Theater. Paint the Town Pink – Ladies Night Out is designed to be a fun evening to raise awareness. Take a look: 5 p.m.: Doors will open for wine, strawberry lemonade and hors d’oeuvres. The first 200 people will receive gift bags with fun goodies and feel-good products. You’ll find a variety of health information including breast health initiatives, screening programs and cancer prevention. 5:30 p.m.: The winner of the storefront decoration competition will be announced. The winner will receive a custom trophy and a painting from Edie’s Art Creations. Hematologist/Oncologist Dr. Banu Symington, Radiation Oncologist Dr. Zachary Nicholas and MHSC Rehabilitation Services Director Debbie DeFauw will offer some insights. 6 p.m.: Relax and enjoy “Mama Mia!” Feel free to sing along.
