In order to celebrate "International Creativity Month," the White Mountain Library is hosting an art show especially for teens. The Teen Art Show will take place at the end of January at White Mountain Library. Youth Services employees would like to invite all teens to take part in the project by sharing original paintings, drawings, photography, "wearable" art, poetry, or sculptures with the public. An optional open mic for original poetry throughout the art show is also scheduled to take place as well. It is preferred that all artwork be matted or framed, but this is not a requirement. Artists are asked to set a price for works they are interested in selling by the entry deadline.
All entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 9p.m. Registration and inventory forms are available at the White Mountain Library. The Teen Art Show will take place Friday, January 28, 2011 in the meeting rooms at White Mountain Library. The art show will begin at 5p.m. and end at 8p.m. Refreshments will be provided and there will be live music by Cortney Felderman, Kent Felderman, Steve Davis and others. The Teen Art Show is sponsored by the Sweetwater County Library System.
