Exempt or Non-Exempt: That is the Question

The Department of Labor (DOL) continues its crackdown against employers for improper classification of workers as exempt when the employee is actually non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Beginning December 1st there is a significant change to classifying employees. The difference between Exempt and Non-Exempt is fuzzy at best for most people.
