DESCRIPTION:The Sweetwater County Concert Association presents Intersection on Tuesday\, February 15\, 2011 at Rock Springs High School at 7:30p.m.  Soulful expression\, instrumental virtuosity\, playful banter - these are the hallmarks of an Intersection event\, in which the realms of concert and popular music are seamlessly dovetailed.  Violinist Laura Frautschi\, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper\, and pianist John Novacek bring their highly varied backgrounds together with their unique trio Intersectionin shows that feature programs of repertoire from all parts of the music world.  The typical Intersection program is an irresistible blend of classical\, jazz\, Latin\, Broadway/film music\, vital new commissions and the group's own original compositions and arrangements.  Tickets are available at the Green River or Rock Springs Chambers of Commerce and at the door the night of the concert.  Prices are $20 for adults\, $15 for senior citizens\, and $10 for students through high school.  STAR bus rides are available by calling 24 hours ahead.
