DESCRIPTION:Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be Saturday\, May 14\, 2011 from 8a.m. - 2p.m. at the Green River Public Works Facility\, 325 East Teton Blvd.\, Green River.  This Household Hazardous Waste collection event provides an opportunity for homeowners to dispose of home chemical products such as cleaners\, paint\, flammable liquids\, insecticides\, etc.  The household chemicals generated in homes can be a potential danger to family members\, pets\, and the community environment.  This organized event addressing household hazardous waste is beneficial to the cities and local landfills because household chemicals can be properly handled instead of being poured into the sewers\, dumped into the landfills or deposited on public lands.  Bring your used oil\, e-waste\, medications\, batteries\, paint\, explosives\, and other hazardous materials.  Call 872-0528 with questions.  Volunteers to help with the event are welcome.
