Meteorologists from the Riverton forecast office will conduct a two-hour Severe Weather Spotter training class beginning at 6p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 , in Room 1309 at Western Wyoming Community College. Certified severe weather spotters in Rock Springs, Green River, and the surrounding area provide quality storm reports during severe weather that can better protect Sweetwater County residents. The class is free of charge and open to all area residents interested in weather, thunderstorms, or public safety. All course materials are provided and completion cards will be given to all volunteers. Current spotters are encouraged to attend the training as a refresher for the upcoming season.
